About Me

For as long as I can remember, food has always been the core to who I am. Some kids were dinosaur geeks, some kids loved baseball, but I loved food. Eating it, cooking it, smelling it, watching it; food was everything to me. For my 13th birthday my parents got me my very first knife kit and the approval to work for the caterer of my Bar Mitzvah. For my 27th, my dad wrote me a slam poem entitled "The Foodman", with yours truly as the eponymous central character.

After receiving my Bachelor's of Arts in English from Vassar College, I began my professional culinary career creating menus for catering partners at ezCater. In 2020, I decided to invest further in my culinary education by pursuing a master’s degree in Gastronomy from Boston University. As a part of my studies, I completed the Culinary Certificate program, studying under the mentorship of Chris Douglass, Jody Adams, Barry Maiden, Michael Leviton, and the illustrious Jacques Pépin.

After my studies, I began a career in recipe and menu development for companies such as Marley Spoon, WECO Hospitality, and Essential Living. Additionally, I began to hone my skills as as a freelance food stylist and photographer, as I'm constantly looking to add new tools to my gastronomic toolbox.

Nowadays, I like to think of myself as a culinary Swiss Army knife; partly because of my experience across multiple spaces in food, and partly because I always carry a pair of small tweezers on me (kidding). From recipe development to food styling and photography, I pride myself on bringing a holistic, data-driven approach to any culinary project. Currently, I work and live in Brooklyn with my partner and two adorably mischievous cats, Stevie and Bowie. I can usually be found at the Prospect Park farmer's market or binge-watching Gilmore Girls from my couch.
